Huron Intermediate School District

Parent Advisory Committee

for

Special Services & Education

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is the mission of the Parent Advisory Committee to serve as a communication link between parents, HISD and local school districts  and support parents of children with disabilities by working to insure proper channeling of concerns that arise so that constructive solutions may be found.
The Parent Advisory Committee is made up of parents from each of the local school districts.  We represent you, as parents of children with disabilities.
The PAC's primary function is to go over the HISD's plan for implementing programs and services and share our ideas as to how we feel this will impact our districts.
We also act as a resource for parents needing information or help with the special education process.
We believe that parents are a very important part of a child's education.
Our PAC meets 4 to 6 times per year at the HISD office.  We would like to invite you to attend our meetings.  To find out when they are please check the meetings of the PAC link on this page or call the HISD at 269-9216 or Colette Ward at 269-2109.
